Opis łowiska

The lake was created in the early 1950s when the local stream was dammed after the end of lignite mining. For a long time, the Tsz operated the lake, then it was taken over by the local Fishing Association and they managed it for decades. The lake was recently taken over by private ownership, and thanks to this, it has undergone serious development and has been maintained ever since. The lake and its surroundings are constantly being looked after and they are trying to serve the anglers with continuous plantings. There are real capital fish in the water and plenty of white fish, but the unusual stock of perch and catfish should also be mentioned. The shores of the lake are largely surrounded by sedge and reeds, which are a real hiding place for the lake's inhabitants. Due to the crystal clear water and abundant food in the lake, the fish are beautiful, healthy and in excellent shape. Catching smaller specimens is also a real experience, as they defend themselves vigorously. Catching larger ones is a real challenge for everyone. Fortunately, the water depth is not the same everywhere, as the riverbed conditions are very diverse. In some places, the remaining coal walls of the lignite mine, in other places clay banks, color the lake bed. Its characteristic banks extend deep underwater, further dividing the bottom. It is a real challenge for anglers, as there is practically no square meter where the riverbed does not change significantly. There are 10 designated fishing spots on the lake (the spots comfortably accommodate 4-6 rods), where fishing is possible upon prior registration.

• All carps above 20 kg must be reported immediately to the bailiff on duty and until that it is only allowed to keep it in a floating weighing sack. (In at least 1 m deep water.) It is strictly prohibited to use traditional carp sacks on the lake! It is only allowed to take photos of carps over 20 kg in the presence of a fish security guy or the lake manager! (It is PROHIBITED to start to take photos alone!) After the photos, all fish below 20 kg must be immediately put back into the water (it is FORBIDDEN to store the fish). • With the landing net it is PROHIBITED to lift any fish caught! After putting into the net and taking out the hook all carps caught can be brought slowly onto the shore in a weighing net, after they have been taken out from the landing net in the water. It is strictly forbidden to put the carps above 10 kg on the shore! Weighing and taking photos of fish above 20 kg is only allowed in the presence of a fish security guy!!! In the spring and in the autumn it i recommended to use chest waders. In case of violating the above rules we apply zero tolerance! We enforce immediate ban! • No fish can be taken out of the water and be photographed on the shore! We provide all swims free of charge with a Trakker/Garda floating accessory device, in which photos can be safely taken in the water. It is obligatory to use these! It is not allowed to use carp cradles put into the water!!!

Swim 1: Located on the western side of the lake, the square is known as "Akacos" among the locals. It is worth looking for our finned friends at the base of the opposite reed island and on the two breaks to the left of it. The position is accessible by car. It comfortably fits 2-3 people. The site includes a 4X3 metre cabin with beds and 12-volt lighting. Please note, this position can only be rented together with the cabin! The price for the cabin is 11.000 HUF / 24 hours. Swim 2: The lake is perhaps one of the most beautiful and peaceful places. With varied beds, ideal for 2 anglers. A fishing lodge known by many as the stilt house. A lot of beautiful specimens came out of here. The place can also be reached with a caravan. If you want to spend a relaxed week in the company of big carp, the best choice is place 2! Swim 3: Located at the base of the pine forests is a challenging task for anglers. The reed island in front of the station, its outer base hides surprises. However, if we think so, we can also search in the open water by pulling out next to the island. The site includes a 4X3 metre cabin with beds and 12-volt lighting. Please note, this position can only be rented together with the cabin! The price for the cabin is 11.000 HUF / 24 hours. Swim 4: area can be fished from here. Fractures, worth looking for. or pay attention to the shell benches and humps. Good advice from the lake manager: after catching the fish, don't lift it onto the fish and don't tighten the line, as there are a lot of shells that make fishing difficult here, jump into the boat immediately and go over the fish as quickly as possible! Due to the features of the place, it is also convenient for larger groups. Use of a boat is MANDATORY! The use of 1 boat per stop is mandatory! Peg 4 includes a 4x3 meter wooden house with beds and 12 volt lighting. Attention, this position can only be rented together with a wooden house! The price of the wooden house is 11.000 HUF / 24 hours. Peg 5: Comfortable position, with a pitch ideal for a caravan. We can also find a break here, and even in the open water there is a protruding "tongue" from which many good fish came in front of the camera. Peg 6: North-eastern place, partially accessible by car. Perhaps one of the most beautiful places on the lake. Surrounded by trees and facing a million sunsets, it gives it a magical atmosphere. It is also worth examining the breaks 20-30 meters close to the shore. A maximum of 14 meters of water is available within the sector boundary. On the right side, we can fish shallower seaweed areas. Peg 7: Peg 7 is located in the corner, accessible by car. The northern shore runs on the right side of the position, which ends with reeds, fallen trees and a small reed peak. If we want to look to the left towards the open water, the pits can bring luck. Peg 8: The site includes a 4X3 metre cabin with beds and 12-volt lighting. Please note, this position can only be rented together with the cabin! The price for the cabin is 11.000 HUF / 24 hours. Peg 9: The site includes a 4X3 metre cabin with beds and 12-volt lighting. On the right side, a stream flows in, feeding the water with fresh oxygen. At the mouth of the stream, a few meters from the base of a fallen tree, we find a great spot, although several breaks in the face can test our skills. Due to its excellent features, it is also ideal for larger teams.

Szűcsi Völgy-tó Rules 2025 – Regarding the expected behaviour on Szűcsi Völgy-tó and on its shore

• It is obligatory to wear a life vest in the boat during the entire fishing!

• It is prohibited to enter the territory of the lake with a vehicle without a permission!

• It is prohibited to talk loudly and to disturb the quiet of others, any angler who does that - or his/her company - will be requested by our fish security guy to leave!

• It is possible to set up a tent or to camp in the area of the lake - if previously agreed on with the bailiff. NO fires allowed!

• Nothing can be built on the fishing peg and nothing can be left / stored there after leaving.

• It is PROHIBITED to destroy the vegetation in any form whatsoever!

• It is obligatory to use the facilities around the lake as intended, to maintain their conditions and to keep them clean!

• It is PROHIBITED to have a bath in the lake!

• Smoking is PROHIBITED in the boats! Furthermore it is strictly FORBIDDEN to leave the cigarette butts on the shore!

• It is not allowed to start or continue fishing on a polluted swim. After finishing the fishing pegs must be left clean! All anglers are obliged to comply with the provisions regarding the environmental protection of the water and its surroundings and to make others observe them, too!

• It is possible to collect the waste produced during fishing in the waste container next to the bailiff’s house for free.

• It is allowed to use an aggregator to generate electric energy (max. 2 kW) from dawn till dusk.

• In case of noticing any violation of the regulations the angler must immediately notify the bailiff.

• All anglers shall take special care of the preservation of the health of the fish caught, which will be continuously checked by the fish security guy and in case of non-compliance the anglers could be requested to leave the premises! It is PROHIBITED to make photos of a fish while standing!

• It is allowed to use 3 rods!

• All anglers must use good quality carp cradles and densely woven landing nets! It is forbidden to use landing nets with stiff frames!

• It is strictly forbidden to put the fish caught into the boat! It is only allowed to bring the fish to the shore after unhooking it, putting it into a floating weighing device and next to the boat, slowly.

• With the landing net it is PROHIBITED to lift any fish caught! After putting into the net and taking out the hook all carps caught can be brought slowly onto the shore in a weighing net, after they have been taken out from the landing net in the water.
