HOUSE RULES FOR 2026

Applies to: all persons staying on Rózsa Island

Dear Anglers and Guests,

The Management of the Ráckeve Danube Branch Angling Association kindly asks all guests to comply with these House Rules and to ensure that others also observe them.

Fishing on Rózsa Island and within a 50-metre radius of the island is permitted throughout the year only for registered guests of Rózsa Island Fishing Camp.

Upon arrival, every guest is required to check in with the site manager of Rózsa Island Fishing Camp or, in their absence, with the caretaker. Guests must identify themselves with a personal identification document so that their data can be recorded and, in the case of accommodation guests, registered in the NTAK system. This rule also applies to long-term tenants. If arrival takes place outside opening hours, check-in must be completed no later than the following morning. Annual tenants acknowledge that failure to check in will automatically result in the monthly flat-rate utility fee being charged at the end of the month.

The site manager, or in their absence the caretaker, may check the validity of anglers’ fishing documents and association membership. Tourist, daily, 72-hour and weekly territorial fishing permits are available for purchase. Our on-site staff will provide detailed information regarding any questions that may arise.

Only caravans with valid registration plates may be placed on Rózsa Island. Insurance of the caravan is the responsibility of the owner. Owners of caravans belonging to rental agreements concluded in previous years must present the caravan documents upon request by the staff and must provide any missing documents when requested. The comfort of a caravan may only be extended with a factory-made awning. Any other use of the area around the caravan, such as gardening or plant cultivation, is not permitted.

Caravans may be placed in three designated areas on Rózsa Island, with a total capacity of 19 caravans, as follows:

1. 3 caravans may be placed in the caravan park on the northern side of Rózsa Island.

2. 13 caravans may be placed in the caravan park on the southern side of Rózsa Island.

3. 2 caravans may be placed next to the access road to Rózsa Island, on the fenced waterfront plot facing Osztó Island.

4. 1 guest caravan or motorhome can be accepted at the designated area near the well, subject to payment of the tent pitch accommodation fee and guest registration.

Digging trenches deeper than 30 cm, for example for tents, is prohibited. Any improperly made trench or pit must be removed immediately upon request by the site manager or caretaker. Trenches or pits made for tents or similar purposes must be filled in and compacted immediately after the rented area is vacated.

Guests occupying rooms are requested to comply with the room rules displayed in the rooms. Smoking, using open flames and removing furniture or equipment from the rooms, such as chairs, tables or blankets, is prohibited, except for items owned by the tenant or guest. With the exception of long-term tenants, guests are also prohibited from cooking in the rooms and from operating electrical appliances with a power output exceeding 1,500 W. When leaving the room, all electrical appliances and lights must be switched off. Most rentable rooms are equipped with heating and cooling air-conditioning units. These may be used upon payment of the surcharge specified in the price list. The remote control can be requested from the reception or the island staff.

For safety and property protection reasons, a CCTV surveillance system operates on Rózsa Island.

Due to the increased fire risk, making a fire or using an open flame on Rózsa Island is permitted only at the designated fireplace, except during periods of national fire bans, when making a fire is strictly prohibited. Current information on fire bans is available on the NÉBIH website:

Please keep your surroundings clean and protect the native flora and fauna of Rózsa Island. As the area of the Fishing Camp is classified as a Natura 2000 protected natural area, proper waste management is treated as a priority. Violations of environmental protection rules aimed at preserving the natural environment may result in sanctions. Therefore, guests are requested to strictly comply with and enforce the following rules:

- Throwing away cigarette butts is strictly prohibited. Littering of any kind is prohibited. All waste, including cigarette butts, seed shells and organic waste, may only be placed in the designated waste containers.

- Tent pitches and fishing spots may only be occupied and vacated in a clean, litter-free condition. The fish-cleaning table and its surroundings must be kept clean. It is prohibited to dispose of fish-cleaning waste in the water. Such waste must be placed in two leak-proof waste bags and deposited in the closed municipal waste container in the yard.

- To ensure safe waste management, plastic waste bags are provided to guests and can be requested from the site staff during their stay. Long-term tenants may request standard 40-litre or 60-litre plastic bins. Upon departure, all guests, including long-term tenants, are required to place their collected waste in the containers located at the entrance of the site.

Vehicles may be driven to the fishing spots on Rózsa Island only for loading and unloading. After that, vehicles must be moved back to the designated internal parking area. Persons with reduced mobility may be granted permission to drive and park within the area, in the presence of the entitled person and upon presentation of the relevant parking permit. Temporary permission may also be granted by the site manager for a vehicle used by a person temporarily limited in mobility.

Visitors use an area open to public traffic, and the rules of the Hungarian Highway Code apply on Rózsa Island. The car park is not guarded. Staying on Rózsa Island or using its services does not create any civil liability on the part of the Ráckeve Danube Branch Angling Association for damage to vehicles or other personal belongings.

The RDHSZ accepts no liability for natural damage resulting from staying, camping or fishing under trees, including falling or broken branches and fallen trees. At the same time, the trees in the area are continuously monitored, and dried-out or diseased trees are removed or maintained as necessary.

During the season, boats and small vessels may only be kept at the two official mooring places on Rózsa Island, subject to payment of the mooring rental fee. Storing boats elsewhere, such as in reeds, pulled onto the shore, stored on the bank, tied to trees or in any other undesignated place, is prohibited. Exceptions apply to boats of permanent tenants, whose storage place may, upon request and individual assessment, be permitted at their fishing spot, subject to payment of the same mooring fee, provided that the boat does not place a burden on the shoreline vegetation.

Outside the season, shore storage is possible at the designated slipway area. Boat trailers may be stored at the slipway area during the season upon payment of the relevant rental fee.

The XIV. RSD Carp Cup carp and grass carp fishing competition will take place on Rózsa Island between 12:00 on 6 September 2026 and 15:00 on 11 September 2026. During this period, a fishing ban will apply in certain parts of Rózsa Island in accordance with the 2026 local fishing regulations.

In October 2026, on Sundays between 8:00 and 15:00, the VIII. RSD Open Spinning Cup will be held on the water section between Makád Park Forest and Rózsa Island, from river kilometre 0.8 to 6.5. The exact date is included in the 2026 local fishing regulations. During the event, all other fishing is prohibited in the affected water area, and guests of Rózsa Island are also required to comply with this restriction.

An annual room or caravan tenant who is subject to a legally binding fish protection fine and a resulting fishing ban may use their rental unit during the period of the ban but may not fish. If an annual room or caravan tenant violates any point of these House Rules or fails to comply with them, they will receive a written warning from the site manager on the first occasion. In the event of a repeated violation, the person may be temporarily banned from Rózsa Island for 90 days. If another violation occurs after the temporary ban, the person may be permanently banned from Rózsa Island under any legal title, and their rental agreement may be terminated with immediate effect. In the case of a temporary or permanent ban, no refund of paid rental or utility fees is possible.

If a visiting angler violates any point of these House Rules or fails to comply with them, they will receive a written warning from the site manager on the first occasion. In the event of a repeated violation, the person may be temporarily banned from Rózsa Island for 90 days. If another violation occurs after the temporary ban, the person may be permanently banned from Rózsa Island under any legal title.

Any person who has been subject to legally binding fish protection fines on at least two occasions due to unlawful fishing or angling activity on the Ráckeve-Soroksár Danube Branch and its connected waters may not stay on Rózsa Island under any legal title.

The Ráckeve Danube Branch Angling Association, as the operator, reserves the right to allow washing and bathing facilities to be used by invited guests or participants of its own events or the events of its member associations.

In the event of operational problems, defects, maintenance and development requests, or complaints related to the operation of the site, annual tenants and guest anglers must follow the following service order:

Lack of knowledge of these House Rules or the local fishing regulations does not exempt anyone from liability for violations. Compliance with these House Rules is mandatory for everyone.

This includes two occasions per day, maximum 15 minutes per occasion.

* Tourist tax was introduced by the Municipality of Tass under Municipal Decree No. 15/2022 (XI.29.), effective from 1 January 2023.

** A mooring-only rental, unlike a mooring rental connected to property rental, does not entitle the tenant to fish within the 50-metre radius of Rózsa Island. Please see the fishing regulations.

Rooms may be occupied from 14:00 on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10:00 on the day of departure.

The number of caravan spaces on Rózsa Island is 19, and no more caravans may be placed on the island. The annual rental fee may be paid in two instalments, subject to a separate request and assessment. Anglers belonging to member associations of the Ráckeve Danube Branch Angling Association have priority when booking rooms.

The above prices include VAT.

For caravan spaces and long-term room rental contracts concluded after 30 June 2026 for the remaining part of the calendar year, the Ráckeve Danube Branch Angling Association provides a reduced fee.

If long-term tenants of caravans, rooms or boat moorings terminate their rental agreement during the year, the unused proportional part of the paid annual fee will not be refunded.

Additional information and requests:

Guests are kindly requested, out of respect for those wishing to rest, to avoid the loud use of electronic devices, night-time vehicle movement and any other loud or disturbing activity.

To prevent accidents, please pay special attention to children.

Dogs may only be brought to Rózsa Island by tenants, guests and staff if the owner keeps the dog under continuous supervision and ensures that the dog does not disturb the peace of others through unwanted barking, jumping, running around, aggressive behaviour or any other disturbing conduct.

If such disturbing behaviour comes to the attention of the staff, the guest may be required to keep the dog on a leash or use a muzzle. In more serious cases, the animal may be removed from Rózsa Island. Dog owners are also required to clean up after their dogs.

Animal health, environmental protection and hygiene regulations must be observed on Rózsa Island. Dogs may only be brought onto Rózsa Island if their mandatory vaccinations can be verified, and this may be checked by the staff.

In order to protect wild birds and ensure compliance with the above rules, it is strictly prohibited to bring or keep cats on Rózsa Island, or to feed stray animals with food leftovers, fish-cleaning waste or fish.

Daily opening hours of Rózsa Island Fishing Camp:

From 1 March to 31 May: Monday to Sunday, 7:30–17:00

From 1 June to 31 August: Monday to Sunday, 7:30–19:30

From 1 September to 30 November: Monday to Sunday, 7:30–17:00

The Fishing Camp is closed from 1 December to 28 February.

Fishing spots are allocated not on a first-come, first-served basis but, unlike the general fishing regulations of the Ráckeve-Soroksár Danube Branch and its connected waters, according to the order of accommodation bookings.

Any person who attempts to fish without prior registration and thereby disturbs the peace of other guests using Rózsa Island may be banned from Rózsa Island for 90 days.

The person initiating the room booking is responsible for the presence and condition of the room equipment on the day the room is handed over.

It is prohibited to store raw meat, cleaned fish or any other animal products in the room refrigerators. Such items must always be labelled with the owner’s name and date and placed in the refrigerators located in the communal kitchen.

It is prohibited to store live bait, such as maggots, worms or pinkies, in the room refrigerators. Such bait must always be labelled with the owner’s name and placed in the refrigerator located in the service firewood storage area.
