Rules for Specimen Fishing
- The lake is open when it is fishable = ice-free and fishing is allowed around the clock.
- Fishing is only permitted with the number of rods booked/paid for.
- Fishing only begins after a block has been booked/a fishing license has been purchased.
- Fish from other lakes or saltwater may not be used as bait. Bait fish such as scallops or trout from Blue Rock may be used.
- It is permitted to pre-feed with a maximum of 1 kg of feed per block per day.
- Pre-baiting must be placed in the same place as the baited hook. Therefore use PVA bags, stick mix, feeders etc. Loosely thrown bait from the bank, spomb and loose bait from bait boats are not allowed.
- During the period from December 1 to April 1, pre-feeding should be limited and we do not recommend using pre-feeding at all in the winter.
- All fishing is catch & release = everything must be released.
- Only barbless single hooks may be used. Circle hooks may not be used.
- Feed, roe, etc. may not be fished using nylon stockings, bridal veils, etc., which the sturgeon cannot break down if swallowed. Bait fish may not be popped with construction foam, flamingo or other floating materials, which the sturgeon cannot break down if swallowed.
- A large catch net or landing mat and a large unhooking mat must be used.
- At least 2.5 m of leader line (measured from hook to main line) must be used . This must be smooth (coated leader or monofilament) and have a thickness of at least 0.80 mm .
- The main line should be at least 0.40mm braided line . However, we recommend a slightly thicker line, such as 0.50mm braid.
- Gentle handling, do not attempt to lift a fish that you are not sure you can lift. Fish over 10kg may only be lifted in a sling or unhooking mat.
- Fish over 50kg may only be lifted under the supervision of Blue Rock employees.
- Sacking is not permitted. All fish must be promptly released.
- Damage to fish must be reported. Tel. 29 91 81 91. Call before the fish is released, so we may be able to treat the damage. It is a good idea to always have a Carp Care Kit with you so that you can treat minor damage yourself.
- Fishing from boats is not permitted (consortium members may use boats), but bait boats may be used.
- Crayfish must not be caught.
- Camping and bonfires are allowed on the lakeshore. -But everything must be cleaned up so that the block is left in the same good condition for the next guests.
- Violations of the rules will result in a control fee of 500kr./70euro and expulsion from the lake. More serious violations of the rules, theft of fish or other activities that financially harm Blue Rock Fish Park will be reported to the police with a claim for compensation.
